As if injected with a highly potent “Do-Everything” serum, the 2024 Amplid Kill Switch brings more serious all-mountain capability to the family. Deadly slashes, big faces, vicious carves and bone crushing stomps, the Kill Switch is an unbridled beast. True to its family roots the fun-factor is sky high.
Featuring the Future Shapes family’s familiar oversize features and cleverly though-out construction, the Kill Switch’s longer and slightly narrower shape gives this mutant the same insane auto-float sensation, but with more stability and control at speed. Less directional than purebred powder specialists, the Kill Switch handles regular and switch duties with ease, but when conditions are epically deep, its chip-fork-like pintail loosens the ride in a surfy way and keeps its big nose out of trouble.
Board Type: All Mountain, Powder
Profile: Camber-Hybrid
Level: Intermediate
Flex: Medium-Stiff
Shape: Directional
- Twin cruise camber - A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Cruise camber’s toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like pop camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In amplid’s directional snowboards and skis a touch of early rise is added to cruise camber to improve buoyancy even further.
- Jekyll & Hyde Geometrie - Max effective edge and square centimetres in a min board or ski length.unsinkable but nimble powder boards, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and edge-hold and the ultimate allmountain ski recipe.
- Floatation Tips - Ultra-wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.
- Omni Core - A dependable, low density poplar wood core which is lightweight, durable and has great flex memory. The industry standard for great performance.
- Carbon Pop Band - A narrow band of carbon stringers that run through the centreline of a ski or snowboard from tip-to tail. Pop band increases longitudinal stiffness and pop without altering torsional stiffness. Shreds with pop band feel livelier but remain forgiving.
- Impact Pads - On the milligram we have added mulitdirectional glass pads in the binding area, to avoid dings caused by pointy corners of metal splitboard binding bases. These pads will enhance durability without adding undesired weight.
- Sintered 7 Base - A premium sintered plastic which readily absorbs wax and will out-run your riding buddies’ bases without breaking a sweat. You better get used to waiting.
